Opening Our Camp

I finally made the long drive to “open our camp” at Starvation Acres. Mice were slain, floors and counter tops were sanitized. The well was found to be working, and we have plenty of propane for the spring hunts. There are still many, many small trees to cut as a fire precaution. I also gathered cards from our non-cellular cameras. A few photos and videos are below…

TWO cougars traveling together. Just after the first one leaves the screen, a second one can be seen in the upper right quarter as it leaves the screen.
Coyotes are often caught on camera traveling in pairs, while cougars are solitary unless a Molly (female) is traveling with her cubs. Wolves, elk and bears were not captured on the recent image harvest, despite seeing them at other times of the year.
